What is the NDIS ?

The NDIS is the National Disability Scheme or NDIS is a way for people with a disability to access supports across all Australian States, Territories, and islands. The NDIS gives people living with disability choice and control over their supports. It is designed to help people living with disability with daily living tasks, improve their skills and build independence. How to access it:

Australian government has set certain eligibility criteria to access the NDIS services. You can check your eligibility for the NDIS on NDIS’s website (NDIS section).

Once you are meet the criteria and approved from the NDIS, you will have the budget to help and improve your daily life. The NDIS plans have three support budgets categories:

  • Core Supports Budget to support your daily living tasks, community participation and transport
  • Capacity Building Supports Budget to support you to become more independent and to build your skills
  • Capital Supports budget to support home and car modification and assistive technology.
